Nice. Yes it's a good angle to not see the tories are either good or bad, but just the good ones don't have enough power within the party. Despite the overall disaster of what the party has achieved, nevertheless nearly all the good right wing figures in Britain are or have been in the Tories.

This House of Lords group called New Issues Grop (NIG) is also very worthy:

Any House of Commons member associated with it or any of the people behind it is a proper Conservative candidate, as are all non-MP electoral candidates from any party.

If Christian Concern or the Christian Institute endorses any candidate, it as a good sign of approval as well.

I am confused, how is the GOP better than the Conservatives? What transformation occurred that resulted in them being any better? Since Powell the Tories have made it crystal clear they want nothing to do with those further to the right. They will remain a liberal party that exists in the space of the centre-right existing for the sole purpose of sucking up all right-wing energy and transforming it into David Cameron 2.0, 3.0 etc. The fact that you believe you can transform the Tory Party into a right-wing force is frankly ridiculous verging on delusional. Please tell me what good can come from supporting that organisation?

Well the GOP now has Trump and Project 2025.

I think you’ve got to judge the Conservative Party on the basis of the individual MPs.

How is Trump any improvement? He integrated populist rhetoric into a standard cut taxes and missiles to Israel Republican policy and you think that's a win? It was actually a tremendous loss and just goes to show how populist energies can be easily sublimated so long as you make the right noises and dispense the correct type of red meat to the base.

Again, bringing it back to Israel…

I just don’t give a fuck.

That's all that the Trump admin gave you. Tax cuts, Israel got everything and the First Step Act. How is this in any way a movement that should be supported?

Project 2025.

What’s your alternative? Just endless doomposting?

Project 2025 is the same as saying "It'll be different next time." We know it's not going to be different. Anyone who steps too far out of line will be ruthlessly purged and thrown under the bus as we saw in the first admin.

What I propose is a focus on destroying the centre-right including all aspects of conservatism and a complete and total rejection of populism. Nothing good can come of these ideologies and movements, they are bankrupt and useless, in fact, I would argue worse than useless since they actively occupy space of a real alternative and pollute the conservation with their ridiculous ideology and tediously insipid rhetoric.

John - this seems a good place as any....but any thoughts on New Culture Forum? They seem to be a meta group and I've enjoyed some of their YT content.

Mostly positive, though Peter Whittle is a homosexual so cannot be trusted 100%, though he doesn't seem to have said anything I object to, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Why don't you actually engage with AA's arguements for zero seats rather than just smearing him?

Anyway that aside, I find your can-do energy interesting but unfortunately this has come much too late. The wave of political reingagment of the public is over. I predict the turnout for this election is going to be one of the lowest in recent history, and if that's true, near-zero seats could well be achievable.

My prospective Conservative candidate is a dark horse: https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/news/24255767.tory-west-reading-mp-candidate-makes-case-voters/

Very difficult to know whether to vote for him or not! He's keeping his cards close to his chest from the sound of it. I'll either vote for him or the Reform party candidate most likely (Kate Bosley), who I also know next to nothing about.

I’d say if you don’t know, vote Reform or another spoiler party like SDP.

That's fair. Apparently odds of Labour winning the seat are around 80% or so so it's probably best to vote whichever way signals further to the right, which would be reform in my constituency.
