I thought one of the more revealing moments of the past twenties in regards to the true identities of large organized political groups in the West was when in 2011, the "Left" in Italy and the EU cheered and cheered and activist-id and activist-id for the fall of Berlusconi by the hands of the technocrats so Monti could take over and aggressively pursue the interests of large transnational corporations and international finance (and of course, the "Left's" own NGO sectors) at the expense pretty much every other Italian, especially those who's drawn the short stick...
